Programmes and Projects we have in Tanzania

We have started working in Tanzania since 2015 following the success of our work in Kenya and a request from the village of Mbahe on the slopes of Kilimanjaro where a lot of our Adventure Alternative staff live. The building of the school in the village offers opportunities for people to come and visit during their visit to the mountain or on safari, and hopefully fundraise for the charity perhaps by climbing the peak!

Tanzania School Adventure

Our Kenya school programme has been so successful that it has grown and developed into Tanzania since 2013.

Kilimanjaro Climb

This is a special fundraising climb for Moving Mountains, run by our staff in Tanzania and joined by some of the MM team from Kenya and one of the UK trustees.

Ng’aroni Primary School

Moving Mountains is working in partnership with Ng'aroni School and the local community to build the school buildings and support the teachers for this rural school which is on the lower slopes of Mt Kilimanjaro.

Ng'aroni School

Below is the school we have been working on in Tanzania, the Ng’aroni School near Marangu village on the slopes of Kilimanjaro. You can get involved with supporting this school online or by organising a group to visit or perhaps doing a fundraising trip up Kilimanjaro.
